Introduction to Pakistan Youth IGF
A New Platform for Young Digital Advocates
The Pakistan Youth Internet Governance Forum (YIGF) is a newly launched initiative aimed at engaging young people in discussions around the future of the internet. Recognizing the growing role of youth in shaping the digital world, Youth IGF Pakistan provides a unique platform for young voices to be heard in national and international conversations about internet governance.
This program is designed to bring together passionate individuals who are interested in digital rights, cybersecurity, privacy, and the evolving digital landscape. Through forums, workshops, and discussions, Youth IGF Pakistan empowers the next generation of internet leaders.
Our Early Milestones
First Steps Toward a Youth-Led Digital Future
Although still in its early stages, Pakistan Youth IGF has already planned significant strides:
- Host the first Pakistan Youth Internet Governance Forum in early February 2025 with 300+ youth participants from across the country, connecting them with local and international policy experts.
- Collaborate with ISOC for beginner courses on Internet Governance.
- Launch a nationwide campaign that reaches students from underserved communities, providing awareness of Internet Governance and making them a part of Pakistan Youth IGF.
- Formalize partnerships with Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan and Ministry of IT & Telecommunication to collaborate on youth-led projects and national internet governance initiatives.
These early milestones mark the beginning of an exciting journey for Pakistan Youth IGF, and we invite young people across the country to join us as we continue to grow and expand.
